Our Learning Programs

Three structured programs, each with a clear purpose and a defined curriculum. Choose the one that best matches where you are today.

Digital Foundations for Everyday Life

A thoughtful introduction to digital tools for adults who are approaching computers and the internet for the first time — or who want to start properly from the beginning.

This program is built for people who feel uncertain when sitting down at a computer. It begins with the absolute basics — what a browser is, how to navigate a website, what a URL means — and builds slowly from there. There are no assumptions about prior knowledge.

Curriculum Outline

Module 1: Browsing the Web

Understanding browsers, tabs, addresses, bookmarks, and search engines. How to find reliable information online.

Module 2: Email Essentials

Setting up an email account, writing and sending messages, using attachments, managing your inbox, and avoiding spam.

Module 3: Video Calling

Making and receiving video calls using Zoom, FaceTime, and Google Meet. Troubleshooting common problems, managing audio and video.

Module 4: Cloud Basics

What cloud storage is, how to save and retrieve files, and why backing up your data matters. Covers Google Drive and iCloud in plain language.

Module 5: Online Safety

Recognizing common scams, creating secure passwords, understanding privacy settings, and staying safe when shopping or banking online.

Module 6: Getting Help

Where to find reliable information, how to ask good questions when you're stuck, and how to keep learning confidently on your own.

Who is this for: Adults who are new to computers, smartphones, or the internet — or who have used them occasionally but want a solid, structured foundation. No prior experience is assumed or required.
Pace description: This program is entirely self-paced. Estimated completion time is 8 weeks at 2–3 hours per week, but you may take as long as you need. There are no timed assessments.
Educational disclaimer: This program is for educational purposes only. Completion does not lead to any formal qualification, certification, employment outcome, or income. Vorlica is not a job placement service.

Remote Work Skills Orientation

An educational overview of how modern remote work environments function — the tools they use, the habits they require, and what a typical day might look like.

Important: This program is purely educational. It does not promise or imply any employment outcome, income result, or job placement. It is designed for adults who want to understand the modern digital work landscape — whether to feel more connected to the world their family lives in, or simply out of curiosity.

Curriculum Outline

Module 1: What Is Remote Work?

A clear, jargon-free explanation of what remote work means, how widespread it has become, and what kinds of tasks are typically performed this way.

Module 2: Communication Tools

An overview of Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet — what they do, how they're used, and how to navigate them comfortably.

Module 3: Time Management

How to structure a productive day working from home. Digital calendars, task lists, and simple habits that help people stay organized.

Module 4: Home Workspace Setup

What a functional home workspace looks like: lighting, seating, internet connection, and the equipment most commonly used in digital work environments.

Module 5: Freelance Platforms Overview

An informational overview of platforms like Upwork and Fiverr — how they work, what types of tasks are listed, and what skills are typically requested. No income claims made.

Module 6: Documents & Collaboration

How teams share and work on documents together using Google Docs, Dropbox, and similar tools. Understanding real-time collaboration without confusion.

Educational disclaimer: This program provides educational information about remote work environments only. Vorlica does not offer job placement, guarantee income, or imply that completing this course will lead to employment of any kind. Individual outcomes vary and depend entirely on factors outside this program.

Practical Computer Confidence Workshop

A focused, practical program for adults who have some digital experience but want to fill in the gaps — especially around files, documents, collaboration, and safety.

This workshop is ideal for people who can send an email but struggle when something unexpected happens — a confusing folder structure, an unfamiliar file format, or an online task that involves sharing documents with others. We take these specific challenges seriously and address them directly.

Curriculum Outline

Module 1: File Organization

Understanding folders, file types, and how to keep your computer organized so you can always find what you need quickly and easily.

Module 2: Writing Documents

Using Google Docs and Microsoft Word to create, format, and save documents. Practical exercises for real situations — letters, notes, forms.

Module 3: Online Collaboration

How to share documents, leave comments, and work on files with other people — even if they're in a different location or using a different device.

Module 4: Task Platforms

An introduction to tools like Trello, Notion, and Google Keep — practical platforms for managing personal tasks and staying organized day to day.

Module 5: Scam Awareness

How to recognize phishing emails, fake websites, impersonation calls, and other common digital scams. What to do — and who to contact — if you encounter one.

Module 6: Account Security

Managing passwords properly, enabling two-factor authentication, understanding privacy settings, and knowing when to be cautious online.

Educational disclaimer: This workshop is for educational purposes only. No qualifications, certifications, employment outcomes, or income are offered or implied. It is designed to build personal confidence and practical knowledge with digital tools.
