Your learning journey, step by step

Choose a path that matches where you are today. Switch at any time — there's no pressure, no deadline.

1
Start with Digital Foundations

Begin with the basics — what a browser is, how email works, and how to stay safe online. Designed for complete beginners with no assumptions made.

2
Practice each skill in your own time

Lessons are self-paced. There are no timed tests. Review materials as many times as you need — the content stays available.

3
Move to the next lesson when you're ready

Each module builds on the previous one in a clear, logical order. You'll feel progress without being rushed.

4
Explore additional programs

Once you're comfortable, consider trying the Computer Confidence Workshop or the Remote Work Orientation — two other paths available on Vorlica.

1
Assess where you stand

Browse our curriculum outlines and identify where your current knowledge ends. Most people find at least a few areas they want to strengthen.

2
Choose the Computer Confidence Workshop

Focused on practical skills: file management, writing documents, online collaboration, and digital safety. Perfect for filling in the gaps.

3
Build at your own rhythm

Skip sections you already know. Spend extra time on areas that feel new. There's no set pace — you're in control.

1
Explore the Remote Work Skills Orientation

Learn how modern digital work environments operate — communication tools, collaboration platforms, and how to organize a productive day at home.

2
Understand online work platforms

We explain how freelance platforms work, informally — so you can decide whether they're something worth exploring further on your own time.

3
Review supplementary resources

Access our curated articles for ongoing learning, including writing guides, digital confidence tips, and practical overviews of modern tools.

What a typical 8-week program looks like

Our curriculum is structured over eight gentle weeks. You set the pace — the timeline below is a guide, not a requirement.

Senior couple learning together on a laptop at home
Weeks 1–2
Orientation & Foundation

Get comfortable with your device and browser. Learn how the internet works, how to search safely, and what to expect from the program ahead.

Weeks 3–4
Communication & Connection

Master email. Set up video calling. Learn how to share photos and stay in touch with family and friends through the platforms they use.

Weeks 5–6
Safety & Confidence

Understand how to recognize scams, protect your accounts, and shop or bank online with confidence. Learn what to do if something goes wrong.

Weeks 7–8
Practical Application

Apply everything you've learned to real tasks. Organize your files, write a document, and review any areas you'd like to revisit before finishing.

What learners have said

These are honest reflections from adults who have worked through our programs at their own pace.

"

I had avoided computers for years because they made me feel foolish. The Digital Foundations program didn't treat me like I was slow — it just explained things clearly. I can now video call my grandchildren whenever I want, and that alone has made a real difference.

I wanted to understand what my children do for work — they're both in remote jobs. The Remote Work Skills course gave me a real sense of what tools they use and how their days work. It sparked some great conversations and I no longer feel left behind.

I thought I'd be too old to pick this up properly. The Computer Confidence workshop showed me I was wrong. Understanding files and folders, and how to organize my documents — it's such a basic thing, but it changed how calm I feel when I sit down at a computer.

The scam awareness section alone was worth it. I nearly fell for something that sounded completely official. Now I know what to look for and I've shared the lesson with three of my neighbors. Clear, practical, and not at all condescending.

I appreciate that this program was honest with me. It told me clearly what I'd learn and what it wouldn't do for me. That kind of straightforwardness made me trust it from the start. The lessons themselves were calm and thorough — exactly what I needed.

Ask a Question

No experience is required for our Digital Foundations program — it begins from the very beginning. For the other programs, we recommend having at least a basic familiarity with using a device, but we provide support resources throughout.

No. Vorlica is an educational platform only. We do not offer job placement services, income guarantees, or employment outcomes of any kind. Our programs are designed to build understanding and confidence with digital tools — what you choose to do with those skills afterward is entirely up to you.

Each program is structured across approximately 8 weeks, assuming 2–4 hours of study per week. However, there are no deadlines. You can take longer, revisit lessons, and move at whatever pace feels comfortable. The content does not expire.

Most programs work on any computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection. We recommend a laptop or desktop for the best experience, but content is designed to be accessible across devices. Specific technical requirements are listed on each program page.

Yes. You can contact our support team directly via the contact page. We aim to respond within one to two business days. We don't rush responses — we take the time to make sure your question is properly answered.

We offer sample content and detailed curriculum outlines on each program page so you can read exactly what's covered before making any decision. We believe you should have full information before committing to anything.
